Improving Reading Comprehens | Students should be able to read and understand a variety of written materials, including newspapers, short stories, and academic texts. They should also be able to identify the main ideas and supporting details. |
Expanding Vocabulary | Students should acquire and use a broader range of vocabulary, including common idiomatic expressions, to enhance their ability to communicate effectively |
Building Writing Skills | By the end of the course, students should be able to write coherent and well-structured essays, reports, and emails. They should be able to express their ideas clearly and use appropriate grammar and vocabulary. |
Grammar Mastery | The course should ensure that students have a strong grasp of English grammar rules, enabling them to construct sentences correctly and communicate without major grammatical errors. |
Cultural Awareness | Students should gain an understanding of the cultural nuances of English-speaking countries, including social norms, customs, and traditions. |
The specific objective of this course is to develop communication skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening, with emphasis on grammar and vocabulary.
Each ELICIS programme is divided into three levels, i.e. Levels I, II & III. At the beginning of each course, a test is conducted to determine the English proficiency level of the student. Following the test and results, students are divided into groups.
The three levels are run simultaneously with other courses or independently. The admission to this course is subject to fulfillment of the conditions of eligibility.
Monday to Friday: 10.30 a.m. to 01.30 p.m.
& 02.30 p.m. to 05.30 p.m.
