About Us

English Language Intensive Course for International Students (ELICIS), conducted by the International Centre (IC), Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) is specifically designed for those international students who have completed their education through the medium of their first language and have studied English only as a foreign language. ELICIS is a comprehensive course, which covers different aspects of communication skills like listening, speaking, reading and writing. Students under ELICIS get an opportunity to equip themselves for their present and future academic pursuits. The course is conducted at different competency levels, depending on the proficiency of the students. The duration of the course is four months and six months.
